2016年11月14-17日，新加坡南洋理工大学化学与生物工程学院陈鹏教授应邀访问我系。访问期间，陈鹏教授与我系部分青年教师展开了为期两天的学术讨论。除进行科研兴趣的深入交流和探讨外，陈鹏教授还就科研创新、文章构筑与发表等方面给出了宝贵的意见和建议。

     11月16日下午，陈鹏教授在行政楼二楼报告厅做了“Graphene Quantum Dots for Bio-imaging and Optical Sensing”的学术报告。报告由系主任王新平教授主持。我系化学、应用化学、化学工程与工艺专业研究生及13级材料化学专业本科生参加报告会。陈教授围绕石墨烯量子点的生物成像和光学传感，与大家分享了近年来自己课题组的研究成果并进行了展望。报告内容丰富、深入浅出、生动精彩，在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。

     本次陈鹏教授的学术访问，有望对我系青年教师的学术创新产生积极影响。据悉，我系在浙江省一流学科A类建设过程中，将着力营造良好的学术交流氛围，推动青年教师的快速成长。

Professor Peng Chen obtained his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Zhejiang University in China. He completed his Ph.D. study in University of Missouri at Columbia in 2002. After a period of post-doctoral training at Harvard University, he joined Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) as an Assistant Professor in 2005. Currently, he is a full professor of Bioengineering in the School of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering. Professor Chen’s research focuses on nanomaterials (particularly, graphene materials) and their applications in biosensing, bioimaging, and energy devices. His research has resulted in a number of patents and >150 publicationsin reputable journals, such as, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Advanced Materials, which have received >8500 citation counts according to Web of Science.
